STIRRHS

STIRRHS is an acronym for "Strategic Training Initiative in Research in the Reproductive Health Sciences". It is a program sponsored by CIHR in collaboration with the Association of Academic Professionals in Obstetrics and Gynaecology of Canada (APOG) in response to a call for such programs put forward by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research. The program has been initiated to meet the challenges facing Canadian researchers in the reproductive health sciences with regard to the recruitment of research personnel and to the standardization of research training. Dr. William D. Fraser, Professor and Chair of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, University of de Montreal, is the Coordinator of STIRRHS.
