SOGC has been instrumental in allowing APOG to set-up a permanent national secretariat by providing office space, supplies, resources, and both administrative and financial assistance. Their continued support has allowed for the growth of our organization. As a result, we have been able to move forward with many positive and exciting initiatives.
Organon has been a long time supporter of the APOG Annual General Meeting as well as the Annual Luncheon / Poster Session making this highly educative and informative meeting possible. An unrestricted educational grant from Organon Canada covers costs associated with the “Making A Mark” program which enhances the residents' applied knowledge of general Ob/Gyn, MFM, REI, and Gyn Oncology. Organon is also the sponsor of our Educator of the Year Awards.
Wyeth has been a sponsor of APOG's Annual General Meeting for several years. In addition to their ongoing support, Wyeth has supported two very important projects launched by APOG. The APOG “Introduction to Research” course introduces residents to a basic level of research training as required by the Royal College. The APOG Educational CD Series is a study tool for residents containing questions and answers similar to those presented on the Royal College final examination for Ob/Gyn. Wyeth's support has allowed us to greatly enhance resident education. They are also the sponsor for the APOG Research Scientist of the Year Award.
